Co-op
This is an accordion element with a series of buttons that open and close related content panels.
Step #1: Report your offer in Handshake
- Login to Handshake via your MyUW
- Click on the “Career Center” in middle section of the homepage, then select “Experiences” from the tiles below.
- Click on “Submit an Experience”
Choose the Experience Type that works best for you specific offer. Options include:

- 2027 – Spring ONLY Co-op (Undergrad)
- 2027 – Spring to Summer CO-OP (Undergrad)
- Note: If you do not have a year in school selected on your Handshake profile, you will need to add one in order to see the correct 2027 templates
Reminder: Academic credit is a requirement for all Fall or Spring term co-ops.
Summer credit is also required for all F-1 visa students.
Step #2: Offer Letter
After you have clicked “submit” for your Experience Report, you will see your overview page
Click on “New Attachment” to upload your offer letter (blue button on left)
Title your attachment and upload the file by selecting “Create Attachment”.
Step #3: CO-OP Course Orientation
Orientation Sessions SPRING 2027 Co-op Students
All students who have reported a Spring 2027 co-op will need to attend an orientation session. Session listed below:

- Tuesday, November 24th, 3:30-4:30 pm, Wendt #312
- Monday, November 30th, 2:30-3:30 pm, EH #1213
- Friday, December 4th, 1-2 pm, EH #1610
- Tuesday, December 8th, 4:30-5:30 pm, Wendt #312

F-1 Visa Students: Please review the CPT process outlined on the ISS website. You will need to complete your CPT via Terra Dotta.
After steps 1-3 are completed, ECS staff will be in touch with you regarding co-op course authorization & enrollment.
